8 CHARACTERISTICS OF TUNDRA CLIMATE

Six (6) characteristics of dry tropical climatic condition

  This type of climate is experienced in several parts of East Africa mainly adjacent to the semi arid region e.g. the Western parts of Karamoja, the Southern Nyika plateau, parts of Western Tanzania etc.     This type of climate is characterized by the following; Rainfall received ranges between 760mm – 1000mm.   Rainfall is seasonal though the dry seasons tend to be long.   There are high temperatures experienced, average temperatures tend to be above 30°C   The temperatures ranges are high approximately 10 -15°C.   There is limited cloud cover.   There is low atmospheric humidity i.e. less than 40%. 7 CHARACTERISTICS OF TROPICAL CONTINENTAL CLIMATE

  Some regions in the interior of continents and about 5 to 15 degrees north and south of the Equator experience a tropical continental climate . These regions include parts of Central Africa, northern Australia and some areas in South America. This is also known as Sudan-type or savanna climate. In the interior of continents, it is referred to as a tropical continental climate. Location: It is experienced within the tropics, though it may extend to 25 degrees north or south of the equator. The climate is common in most parts of Africa and in Brazil in South  America.
