Ways of Conserving Water Resources

  For resources to be sustainable, they must be conserved to ensure continuity and availability to upcoming generations. Water, as a resource, can be conserved thought the following ways:  1. Avoiding wastage: All people should use water wisely to minimise wastage. All taps should be turned off when they are not used. The used water may be re-used again. For example, water that has been used to rinse clothes can be re-used to mob the floor, soak the dirtiest clothes, rags etc. Do not use water directly from the tap, instead fetch the water in a container and use it wisely. 2. Controlling polluting: People should neither throw wastes carelessly nor introduce any chemicals into water. Stern laws should be made and enforced to stop industries from dumping toxic wastes into the water bodies.
